Planets in signs and houses KEY POINTS TO BE NOTED WHILE CHANTING MANTRAS

what is mantra, importance of mantras, meaning of mantra, when to chant mantra, where to chant mantra, effect of mantra on human body, bija mantra, origin of mantra, mantra japa,EFFECT OF MANTRA ON HUMAN LIFE,how to chant mantra, things to be noted while chanting mantras, practice of chanting mantra

1) One should not practice too many mantras together.

The key is to uphold one mantra persistently. Nowadays people have a tendency to chant too many different mantras. Some feel that they have to learn all mantras, and they chant every single one they come across. However, when they chant mantras, they just pay lip service to them and are unable to really hear the sounds at the same time and let the sounds impress into their hearts. Such chanting is just like a shepherd singing folk songs or a singer singing popular songs; it does not generate any spiritual powers. There are eighty-four thousand kinds of mantras, and it is not easy to learn every single one of them and still be able to merge ones heart with each anthem. Therefore, if one chants just one particular mantra and practices it over time, gradually this mantra will become one's heart mantra, and whenever one chants it wholeheartedly, it will generate a power that travels throughout the whole Universe. Mantra chanting is a doorway into the mastery of one's heart, and through it one can arrive at the realms of the Buddhas and Immortals.

2) Do not make any mistakes in chanting the mantras.

Often times there are people who incorrectly pronounce one of the syllables of the mantra. A deformed mantra chanted over a long period of time will naturally give rise to a deformed psychic phenomenon. that there is infinite power in chanting a particular mantra. When one makes a mistake with one syllable, the mantra's power is lessened. Therefore, it is extremely important that no mistake is made in chanting the mantras.

3) There is this quotation in a Sutra, "The mind should be kept independent of any thoughts that arise within it." This state of mind, or consciousness, is the key to unlocking the supreme doorway of mantra chanting. In other words, the vibration frequency of the mantra becomes the identity of one's consciousness. There is no difference between the two. The vibration of one's consciousness is the same as the vibration of the mantra. When one is chanting the mantra, sending out the vibration frequency of the mantra, one always enters into a condition of one-pointedness, or Vajra Samadhi, and attains the Vajra Indestructible Body. This is true at all times, wherever one goes. What a miraculous achievement!

In my opinion, mantra chanting is one of the means of cultivating stability in meditation. It is also a rapid shortcut to achieving realization. People who desire to activate their psychic energy can make great progress with the help of divine mantras. By chanting audibly the syllables of mantra and impressing the mantra on the mind, one can transform from an ordinary person to a psychically awakened person.

One who chants has to follow all rituals carefully without overlooking any details that might give the opposing forces a chance. Thus, a he must chant incessantly without interruption, to the level of proficiency wherein visualization, sound, and seed syllables all merge together. Also, the practitioner should remain mindful during chanting and refrain from unnecessary conversation, as interrupted chanting will result in failure. On the other hand, if one does not follow the proper codes or remain pure, one will not realize the positive effect and might even incur troubles."

"To chant a divine mantra, one should refrain from meat, alcohol, the five food stimulants, improper sexual activity, and the partaking of food and drink in unclean households." When one abides by these five codes, one will be empowered by the divine mantra and derive great benefits which include the uprooting of poisons and the eradication of illnesses and evil spirits.

Planets in signs and houses IMPORTANCE OF MANTRAS

Chanting, or Mantra is more than just the Spiritual act of singing or praying. It is also mental and physical discipline. Besides being devotional, chanting excercises both the Nervous System and the Body. Articulation of the words, Control of the breath, and perfection of the posture, are all essential parts of the practice. The beneficial effects of various specific kinds of self-vibration, cannot be underestimated. Nor can the oxygenation that occurs, be overlooked or under-valued. Chant with your heart open, and mind alert! Chant with gleeful Spirit. Feel the vibration throughout your body. Notice how it transforms your state of being.

The word mantra comes from the Sanskrit word manatrana that means advice or suggestion. Whether it is one word or a string of words, a mantra is a sound pattern with meaning and also frequencies that have energy of their own.

what is mantra, importance of mantras, meaning of mantra, when to chant mantra, where to chant mantra, effect of mantra on human body, bija mantra, origin of mantra, mantra japa,EFFECT OF MANTRA ON HUMAN LIFE

Mantra is a divine combination of divine syllables or sounds which when chanted with devotion, faith and emotion gravitate the concerned God or Goddess or deity and secure their divine blessings. For divine help one must link with divine forces but majority of humans are unaware of these forces and have no link whatsoever. But when an individual starts chanting Mantra related to a particular deity regularly the gap between him and the concerned divine force steadily decreases. By regular use of Mantra a subtle link is formed and through this one could then obtain any desired boon within the power of the deity. One could obtain wealth, prosperity, fame, fearlessness, success and spiritual upliftment, but for each a different Mantra is chanted and a different deity propitiated.

A Mantra is a special set of words through only that particular deity could be summoned. If I write or speak in Chinese you won't be able to understand and my words will not produce any effect. But if I speak the language you know its effect shall be with doubt. Praying to these deities in one's language won't help much but if one uses the words that they can understand the result shall be instant.

These words are the Mantras evolved by Rishis and Yogis who actually prepared them and used them to prove their worth. Over the ages these have helped thousands of Sadhaks achieve even that which appeared impossible to them. Within doubt that whose chanting fulfils one's wish is a Mantra.

Mantras, also known as True Words, originated from Enlightened beings who have manifested the collection of their experiences as language and sound components.

A Mantra is a mystical energy encased in a sound structure. Every mantra contains within its vibration a certain power. Upon concentration and repetition of a given mantra, its energy is liberated and takes form.

There are different types of mantras. Some called Bija (Seed) mantra. They have no exact meaning but act directly on the nerves of astral body. The other type of mantras, having a combination of words, and having some meaning also set up powerful vibrations in the body.

Most common, however is the deity mantras, in which a specific form with attributes is visualized along with the repetition of the sound.

Initiation - If possible, before attempting Japa or chanting one should seek out a guru and receive mantra initiation from him. Only those who are themselves pure can give initiation to others. Therefore it is important to find a qualified guru to successfully implant the mantras in the disciples body. If no guru can be found, one may select any mantra that seems appropriate to fulfil his desires, assuming Lord Shiva as his guru and start repeating it with mentally with faith and devotion everyday.

The efficiency of the japa is accentuated according to the degree of concentration. The mind should be fixed on the source or the related Yantra, Talisman or the Thread. Then only you will realize the maximum benefit of a mantra.
When a person says a mantra over and over a vibrational field is created and these tones and overtones affect and influence or sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves. Our nervous system is spread like a fine network around our internal organs and these sounds send messages to the cerebral cortex, affecting our emotional self. By practicing and chanting these sounds correctly, one can help not just oneself but other people.

Chanting mantras in the early morning hours sets a rhythmic pattern for the entire day. Chanting is a very special means of getting in touch with our higher self. There are several types of mantras, and to mention a few are those that explain Truth, advise, promote a certain emotional state and healing mantras. There are also mantras used for religious worship, to aid in spiritual evolution, for purification to make offerings and so on.

The speed of chanting creates a difference. Fast chanting exhausts the breath, the mind and heart and relaxation comes after the chanting is over. Slow chanting relaxes the breath, mind and heart while the chanting is going on but is recommended only when it is done individually.

All mantras in India, however, recite the 108 as is normally required. The number 108 has been considered sacred for thousands of years in India. The origin of this number probably lies in astronomy. The average distance from the sun and moon to the earth is 108 times each of their respective diameters. This is true to an accuracy of 0.5% for the Sun and 2% for the Moon. The thought that this was known so long ago is amazing. Like all tantric mantras each line is preceded by om and concluded with om. These characteristics give the mantras great potency.

Planets in signs and houses IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER

The word prayer or prārthanā (in Sanskrit) is derived from two words ‘pra’ and ‘artha’ meaning pleading fervently. In other words, it is asking God for something with intense yearning.

benefits of prayer, importance of prayer, meaning of word prayer, why do we prayer, why we prayer, positive benefits of prayer, effect of prayer, how prayer affect human, prayer can do miracles, power of prayer, prayer and spiritual practice,

Prayer includes respect, love, pleading and faith. Through a prayer a devotee expresses his helplessness and endows the doership of the task to God. Giving the doership to God means that we acknowledge that God is helping us and getting the task done. Prayer is an important tool of spiritual practice in the generic spiritual path of Devotion.

The very act of prayer implies that the person who is praying considers the power to whom one is praying to as superior to oneself. Hence by praying a person expresses his helplessness and surrenders to the higher power and pleads for help. This is a blow to the individual's ego as praying implies that one is looking for help from a higher mind and intellect than one's own. Thus by praying frequently we transcend our limited mind and intellect and access the higher Universal Mind and Intellect. Over a period of time this contributes to the dissolution of our mind and intellect. Thus, frequent and sincere prayers for spiritual growth help in the dissolution of mind, intellect and ego.

BENEFITS OF PRAYER

Improves spiritual practice: Prayer impacts our spiritual practice at three levels, action, thought and attitude:

Enhances the potency of chanting the Name of God: A seeker chants the Name of God with the aim of realising God. Only if accompanied by intense motivation for God realisation and spiritual emotion will the Name repeated (chanted) be truly effective. One Saint would be so engrossed in chanting the Name of God that He would become oblivious to the world. One rarely finds someone who can chant the Name of God with such intense spiritual emotion. However, repeated prayers about being graced with quality chanting, along with chanting the Name of God, helps in generation of spiritual emotion and makes our chanting reach God.

Divine help in spiritual practice: When a seeker sincerely prays to God to get a particular action/thought/attitude pertaining to his spiritual practice, done through him (the seeker), a seemingly impossible task is easily accomplished by the Guru’s grace.

Receiving forgiveness for mistakes: Having committed a mistake, if one makes a prayer and surrenders unto God or the Guru, then God or Guru forgives one for the mistake. However the prayer and surrender have to be commensurate in intensity with the mistake committed.

Reducing the ego: While praying we plead before God; it is therefore the place where pride is abandoned and we humbly admit our need/human frailty as well as our dependence upon God. It therefore helps to reduce the ego faster.

Protection from ghosts: Prayer is a powerful tool that helps protect one from ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.) and creates an armour around oneself.

Increase in faith: When a prayer gets answered, faith in God or the Guru increases. Faith is the only currency on our spiritual journey

Action: All actions that are preceded by prayer for spiritual benefit are performed with spiritual emotion; hence fewer errors are committed. Thus by praying, various actions in one’s spiritual practice  occur as per the way God  would like them to happen.

Thought: So long as the mind is active, thoughts will continue. They pose an obstacle to the dissolution of the mind. Useless thoughts also cause wastage of energy. Prayer is an extremely useful tool to prevent this waste. Prayer reduces worry and enhances contemplation.

Attitude: A prayer done with spiritual emotion initiates the process of contemplation within a seeker, and this assists him in becoming introverted.

Planets in signs and houses REASON FOR CHANTING " SHAANTI" THRICE

Shaanti, meaning “peace”, is a natural state of being. Disturbances are created either by others or us. For example, peace already exists in a place until someone makes noise.

Therefore, peace underlies all our agitations. When agitations end, peace is naturally experienced since it was already there. Where there is peace, there is happiness. Therefore, every one without exception desires peace in his/her life.

peace, trivaram satyam, why We chant shaanti thrice,

However, peace within or without seems very hard to attain because it is covered by our own agitations. A rare few manage to remain peaceful within even in the midst of external agitation and troubles. To invoke peace, we chant prayers. By chanting prayers, troubles end and peace is experienced internally, irrespective of the external disturbances. All such prayers end by chanting shaanti thrice.

It is believed that trivaram satyam – that which is said thrice comes true. For emphasizing a point we repeat a thing thrice. In the court of law also, one who takes the witness stands says, “I shall speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”.

We chant shaanti thrice to emphasise our intense desire for peace. All obstacles, problems and sorrows originate from three sources.

Aadhidaivika: The unseen divine forces over which we have little or no control like earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions etc.

Aadhibhautika: The known factors around us like accidents, human contacts, pollution, crime etc.

Aadhyaatmika : We sincerely pray to the Lord that at least while we undertake special tasks or even in our daily lives, there are no problems or that, problems are minimised from the three sources written about above.

May peace alone prevail.
Hence shaanti is chanted thrice.

It is chanted aloud the first time, addressing the unseen forces. It is chanted softer the second time, directed to our immediate surroundings and those around, and softest the last time as it is addressed to oneself.
