Planets in signs and houses IMPORTANCE OF OFFERING WATER TO SUN

Sun is the source of energy for the whole universe. We can not imagine even a day without sun. All living beings get the energy and vitality from the Sun. Due to these qualities of Sun, it has been considered as sun God in ancient scriptures. In Vedic Astrology, Sun is considered as the significator of Health, eyes, social prestige, father and profession. When Sun is weak, issues may happen in all the areas mentioned above. When we offer water to Sun, Sun gets strengthened and all the areas mentioned above get better. It is especially a must for the people struggling with their health and profession.

When we give water to sun, from the height of our chest, then the sun rays directly falls on the water(present in the container or in our hand or water body) and then through the principle of refraction and reflection, 7 forms of light gets extracted from the normal sunlight which finally gets absorbed by our body, especially chest(chest have the largest surface area on our body, and hence the absorption is maximum through this area ) , just like when a rainbow is formed in rainy days, the sun light strikes the droplets of water which are left in the atmosphere after the rain or during the rain.(This rainbow is caused by Sunlight being refracted while entering a droplet of water, then reflected inside on the back of the droplet and refracted again when leaving it.)

These 7 forms of light gives strength to all our planets.(each planet signify, one form of light).

Though we always have sun light, which have all forms of light as well as energy necessary for all of us to continue but, we do not get 7 forms of light separately. In fact for this very reason we wear various gems as For that we must have a medium which could bifurcate sunlight into 7 forms through the principle of refraction and reflection and water is that very medium in this activity.

Thats why the maximum effect of Giving water to sun can be experienced , when the native carry out this activity by submerging himself till the level of chest in a river or water body.As by doing this native is welcoming maximum amount of 7 forms of light (after the reflection and refraction of sunlight).

Those who give water to sun in an appropriate manner everyday, always have an advantage of having extra strength of light. Since this activity basically energies the native for the whole day.

Whole astrology is based on Light, Astrology is the science of Light. Understanding the working of light is Astrology.

Our ancient rishi's were great scientists, today's scientists are less than a mud in front of those great people.

Thats why the 1000's of rules which we use in astrology, are based on pure scientific facts, modern day scientists would have to take 100's of births to understand all the science behind the principles which we use so easily by the grace of god.

PROCEDURE
Ideal time to offer water to Sun is within one hour of Sun rise.
You should take bath and wear clean clothes before doing it. If you don't want to take bath, at least wash your legs, arms and face.
1) Take a copper vessel and fill it with water. Add either sugar or honey to it.
2) Go outside where you can see the Sun. In case it is cloudy and you are not able to see the Sun, you can still do it by looking towards east direction assuming the Sun is there.
3) Straighten your hands and take the vessel towards Sun and start pouring the water slowly. Look at the rays of Sun through the stream of water from the vessel.
4) Start reciting this mantra when you start pouring the water "Om Ghrinim Surya Adityamu"
5) Please pour the water with such a speed that before the water finishes you should have already recited the mantra for at least 11 times.
6) After this touch the water which is spread on earth with your right hand fingers and touch those fingers on your forehead. Now make them wet again by touching the water and then touch them on both eyes and lastly on your throat.
7) Now you can leave the place. Try to avoid putting your feet in the water spread on earth while leaving.
There are various energy points in our body. When we offer water to the Sun and recite the mantra, the water gets empowered. When we touch this water on our body, those energy points gets stimulated thereby giving us tremendous energy.
You should have complete faith and devotion while doing it. It will bring benefits really fast.

Jyotish Studio (a.k.a. Goravani’s Jyotish)

The Jyotish Studio has an immense reference section with a Vedic tutorial with several lessons, an extensive glossary of Jyotish terminology, valuable tables (e.g. exact degree of exaltation, nakshatras, friendships, etc.), and the full text of both the Bhagavad Gita and David Frawley’s Astrology of the Seers –a fine Vedic astrology book. It also has an incredible list of karakas, i.e. the planets, houses, or signs that signify specific objects, people, etc. (e.g. Epistles and the 3rd house, or Esophagus and the Moon).

The predictive features of the Jyotish Studio are diverse and powerful. The Panchang function can show either detailed information on specific day, complete with the results for an individual chart, or a listing of any duration of all of the relevant factors like the tithi, karana, yoga, nakshatra, paksha, etc. The transit hit list function allows you to see when planets form exact tajika aspects; sign, nakshatra, navamsha, and antardasa ingresses; conjunct equal, placidus, and shri pati house cusps, and conjunct upagraha, the yogi point, and the part of fortune. The excellently designed tarabala calendar shows a monthly calendar with detailed information for each day on the tithi, nakshatra, moon sign, tara bala from the moon and ascendant, chandra bala from the moon and the ascendant, and the bright/dark quality of the moon. It also shows changes, to four levels, of the dasa, and planetary station dates.

The Jyotish Studio offers a fine array of truly lovely Vedic charts, some with carefully designed beautiful backgrounds making them suitable for wall hanging. It also has the largest collection of famous peoples’ charts (for a Vedic program). You can view and print very useful sorted listings (with many choices of sorts) of the charts in the database, a compact listing of everyone’s data and planetary placements, and even compare any chart for similarities with all of the other charts in the database.

The program is packed with a huge variety of nice touches. For example, you can easily rotate any chart to show any sign as lagna. One powerful table shows both the exact degrees for planets in each of the vargas, and a well-thought-out table showing the conjunctions of planets in divisional charts with rasi points. You can also create a listing of planetary stationary times, tertiary progressed stations, kakshas, and custom designed listings of exactly the information you want output, from a huge list of attributes. Planets in signs and houses 21 Dec. 2012 - Myths & Truth .........

First of all let me thank god giving me life to write this post & these words.
Today, Dec 21st, 2012 passing quietly & calmly.  There were stories about World will end on this date based on ancient Maya Culture Calender.

Maya culture was pretended to exist before 5ooo years & were expertise among astrological science. Myths & rumors said their calender has 21st Dec. 2012 as a last date of world. However, today news bulletins focused was not so & their calender exists till 4772 yr ; where we are just in 2012. NASA statement supports the view.

Proud to say , Mohan Date, Panchang Creater of Date Panchanga gave a statement on Zee 24 taas news channel saying NASA & Indian astrology are ultimately based on science & mathematics. Even Indian Astrology says there are 4 crore years of kaliyug where we are just in 5ooo year of the same. There is much more time to go for our dear mother earth. Brahma dev who is responsible for LIFE on earth has 50yrs of life which are not earth years. These 50 yrs of life are equivalent to many crore years of we human beings.

Conclusively, 2012 was little terrifying , more disastrous year begint with Japan-Tsunami on the very first day of the year. This year was a bad patch / slag for many of us across the word. We came across many financial & corruption problems in this year. We lost many gems of Bollywood.
Let me wish you all a very happy, healthy & wealthy year ahead. * Rather years, I must say !! :)

Interpretation

In Western horoscopic astrology the interpretation of a horoscope is governed by:
Some astrologers also use the position of various mathematical points such as the Arabic parts.

The primary angles

There are four primary angles in the horoscope (though the cusps of the houses are often included as important angles by some astrologers).
  • Ascendant-symbol.svg - The ascendant or rising sign is the eastern point where the ecliptic and horizon intersect. During the course of a day, because of the Earth's rotation, the entire circle of the ecliptic will pass through the ascendant and will be advanced by about 1°. This provides us with the term rising sign', which is the sign of the zodiac that was rising in the east at the exact time that the horoscope or natal chart is calculated. In creating a horoscope the ascendant is traditionally placed as the left-hand side point of the chart. In most house systems the ascendant lies on the cusp of the 1st house of the horoscope.
The ascendant is generally considered the most important and personalized angle in the horoscope by the vast majority of astrologers. It signifies a person's awakening consciousness, in the same way that the Sun's appearance on the eastern horizon signifies the dawn of a new day.[18] Due to the fact that the ascendant is specific to a particular time and place, it signifies the individual environment and conditioning that a person receives during their upbringing, and also the circumstances of their childhood. For this reason, the ascendant is also concerned with how a person has learned to present him or herself to the world, especially in public and in impersonal situations.
The opposite point to the ascendant in the west is the descendant, which denotes how a person reacts in their relationships with others. It also show the kind of person we are likely to be attracted to, and our ability to form romantic attachments. In most house systems the descendant lies on the cusp of the 7th house of the horoscope.
  • Midheaven-symbol.svg- The midheaven or medium coeli is the point on the ecliptic that is furthest above the plane of the horizon. For events occurring where the planes of the ecliptic and the horizon coincide, the limiting position for these points is located 90° from the ascendant. For astrologers, the midheaven traditionally indicates a person's career, status, aim in life, aspirations, public reputation, and life goal. In quadrant house systems the midheaven lies on the cusp of the 10th house of the horoscope.
The opposite point to the midheaven is known as the imum coeli. For astrologers the nadir or IC traditionally indicates the circumstances at the beginning and end of a person's life, their parents and the parental home, and their own domestic life. In quadrant house systems it lies on the cusp of the 4th house of the horoscope.

The houses

The horoscope is divided by astrologers into twelve portions called the houses. The houses of the horoscope are interpreted as being twelve different spheres of life or activity. There are various ways of calculating the houses in the horoscope or birth chart. However, there is no dispute about their meanings, and the twelve houses
Many modern astrologers assume that the houses relate to their corresponding signs, i.e. that the first house has a natural affinity with the first sign, Aries, and so on.

Aspects

The aspects are the angles the planets make to each other in the horoscope, and also to the ascendant, midheaven, descendant and nadir. The aspects are measured by the angular distance along the ecliptic in degrees and minutes of celestial longitude between two points, as viewed from the earth.[21] They indicate focal points in the horoscope where the energies involved are given extra emphasis. The more exact the angle, the more powerful the aspect, although an allowance of a few degrees each side of the aspect called an orb is allowed for interpretation. The following are the aspects in order of importance[22]
  • Conjunction-symbol.svg - Conjunction 0° (orb ±8°). The conjunction is a major point in the chart, giving strong emphasis to the planets involved. The planets will act together to outside stimulus and act on each other.[citation needed]
  • Opposition-symbol.svg - Opposition 180° (orb ±8°). The opposition is indicative of tension, conflict and confrontation, due to the polarity between the two elements involved. Stress arises when one is used over the other, causing an imbalance; but the opposition can work well if the two parts of the aspect are made to complement each other in a synthesis.[citation needed]
  • Trine-symbol.svg - Trine 120°(orb ±8°). The trine indicates harmony, and ease of expression, with the two elements reinforcing each other. The trine is a source of artistic and creative talent, but can be a 'line of least resistance' to a person of weak character.[citation needed]
  • Square-symbol.svg - Square 90°(orb ±8°). The square indicates frustration, inhibitions, disruption and inner conflict, but can become a source of energy and activation to a person determined to overcome limitations.[citation needed]
  • Sextile-symbol.svg - Sextile 60°(orb ±6°). The sextile is similar to the trine, but of less significance. It indicates ease of communication between the two elements involved, with compatibility and harmony between them.[citation needed]
  • Quincunx-symbol.svg - Quincunx 150°(orb ±3°). The quincunx indicates difficulty and stress, due to incompatible elements being forced together. It can mean an area of self neglect in a person's life (especially health), or obligations being forced on a person. The quincunx can vary from minor to quite major in impact.[citation needed]
  • Semisextile-symbol.svg - Semisextile 30° (orb ±2°). Slight in effect. Indicates an area of life where a conscious effort to be positive will have to be made.[citation needed]
  • Semisquare-symbol.svg - Semisquare 45°(orb ±2°). Indicates somewhat difficult circumstance. Similar in effect to semisextile.[citation needed]
  • Sesquisquare-symbol.svg - Sesquiquadrate 135°(orb ±2°). Indicates somewhat stressful conditions. Similar to semisextile.[citation needed]
  • Quintile-symbol.svg - Quintile 72° (orb ±2°). Slight in effect. Indicates talent and vaguely fortunate circumstances.
  • Biquintile-symbol.svg - Biquintile 144° (orb ±2°). Slight in effect. Indicates talent and vaguely fortunate circumstances.[citation needed]
  • Retrograde-symbol.svg - Retrograde: A planet is retrograde when it appears to move backwards across the sky when seen from the earth, due to one planet moving more quickly relative to the other. Although it is not an aspect, some astrologers believe that it should be included for consideration in the chart. Planets which are retrograde in the natal chart are considered by them to be potential weak points.[citation needed]

Planets in signs and houses How to refer western style wheel of patrika ? part I- Nakshatras & signs

Shown below is a sample of the Nakshatra Wheel from SIRIUS:
A brief description of each of the Nakshatra symbols are provided below:
    1. Ashvini: This symbol mimics the traditional sign for Ashvini, a horse's head. This Nakshatra represents the "head", or the beginning of the zodiac. This symbol also resembles the female reproductive system. Ashvini relates to all initiations and beginnings.
    2. Bharani: Bharani is the Nakshatra of birth, death and transformation. It's symbol is the yoni. The triangle references the three stars which compose this asterism. These three stars, also known as "the Buckle of Isis" where perceived by ancient astrologers as portal between worlds.
    3. Krittika: Krittika, "the one who cuts", is traditionally denoted by a blade or a flame. This symbol combines the two motifs, expressing this nakshatra's sharp, fiery and proactive nature.
    4. Rohini: Rohini, the most materialistic nakshatra is represented by a four-petaled flower. This relates to its connection to the number four, as well as its typical emblem, the rose. Rohini relates to Taurine themes of fertility, stability, and abundance.
    5. Mrigashira: This symbol emulates Mrigashira's emblamatic cup of soma (elixir). It also combines the symbols for Taurus and Gemini, the two zodiac signs which correspond to this nakshatra. The curved line which reflects the horns of Taurus may also be interpreted as symbolic of Mrigashira's other motif, the deer.
    6. Ardra: This symbol combines this nakshatra's two emblems; the diamond and the raindrop (or teardrop). Together, they provide a visual description of Ardra's theme of growth and renewal through chaos and turbulence.
    7. Punarvasu: Punarvasu means, "becoming good again". Its symbol relates to themes of retrieving, recovering, and recycling. This nakshatra is traditionally denoted by a quiver of arrows (magical weapons which return after fulfilling their mission). These arrows are depicted here in their circular path from beginning to return.
    8. Pushya:Pushya is the nakshatra of nourishment, generosity and kindness. Its symbol is a circle which can be seen as a wheel, a drop of milk, a coconut, or the Moon inside a blossoming lotus flower.
    9. Ashlesha: Ashlesha means "coiling" or "embracing". Its symbol is two serpentine lines symmetrically entwining, recalling Mercury's healing staff as well as the double-helix pattern of DNA molecule. This powerful nakshatra gives intuition and transformative potential.
    10. Magha: Magha coincides with the beginning of Leo and epitomizes the Leonine themes of honor, pride, magnificence, duty, glory, and respect. It is symbolized here by a simple three-pointed crown.
    11. Purvaphalguni: Purvaphalguni is the nakshatra of comfort, pleasure, delight, and indulgence. It follows Magha, signifying a period of relaxation following worldly accomplishment. Its symbol can be seen as one reclining in a luxurious bed.
    12. Uttaraphalguni: Uttaraphalguni also represents comfort but with an emphasis on wisdom rather then sensuality. It falls into the latter part of Leo, its symbol relates to that sign. The circle representing the individual, formerly seen enveloped in the blanket of luxury, here rises up like the Sun (Uttaraphalguni's ruling planet).
    13. Hasta: Hasta is symbolized by a human hand. This nakshatra relates to all work and activities done with the hands, including all forms of craftsmanship. One traditional symbol for Hasta is the potter's wheel, shown here by an empty circle.
    14. Chitra: Chitra means "sparkling" or "brilliant". It is symbolized by a jewel star. Its nature is that of an artist; imagining and designing new forms, ideas, and illusions.
    15. Swati: Swati is typically symbolized by a young plant shoot blown by the wind or a sword. This symbol combines the two motifs. The curved line intersecting the straight line also represents the balancing of contrasting forces. Swati is adaptable, flexible, diplomatic, and temperate. It occurs halfway through the nakshatra cycle, and relates to all crossroads and compromises..
    16. Vishakha: The symbol of Vishakha combines its traditional symbol of the triumphal arch with its meaning, "Two-Branched". Vishakha relates to the concept of single-minded fixation on a goal, and the painful sacrifice required to meeting that goal. It is the incomplete desiring completion.
    17. Anuradha: After the sacrifice of Vishakha comes Anuradha, meaning "Subsequent Success". Its symbol is a staff which may be interpreted as a magician's wand or walking stick. Philosophy, astrology, and travel relate to this nakshatra. Anuradha transforms Vishakha's narrow-sighted obsession into a broader vision of reverence and awe.
    18. Jyestha: Jyestha means "the Eldest". It is usually symbolized by a round amulet or earring, denoting authority. Seniority and expertise are indicated. The three lines connecting the inner and outer circles of this symbol represent the past, the present, and the future.
    19. Mula: Mula means "Root" or "Center". This Nakshatra includes the Galactic Center. Our symbol is a stylization of Mula's traditional emblem: a bundle of roots. This bundle of roots represents not only Mula's urge to seek the essential nature of all things, but also to the practice of making medicines.
    20. Purvashada: This joyous and optimistic nakshatra delights in beauty. Its symbol resembles the seashell upon which Venus emerges from the waters of life. It also resembles Purvashada's emblem, the fan. The fan has multiple implications. It can be used to fan a fire (to keep passion alive), to cool off (to survive adversity), as a decorative item (to enjoy art), or to hide one's face (to retain mystery).
    21. Uttarashada:Uttarashada, "the Latter Invincible One" exemplifies truth, willpower, firmness, and virtue. Its symbol combines a pyramid (representing the crystallization of power), two elephant tusks (referring to Ganesha, Remover of Obstacles, its ruling deity), and the rising Sun (its ruling planet)..
    22. Shravana: Shravana means "hearing" and is ruled by the Moon. It relates to listening to others well as to one's inner voice. This Lunar receptivity is symbolized by a Full Moon supported by a Crescent Moon. The three smaller circles denote the "three uneven footsteps" associated with Shravana. The lines which connect the smaller circles to the larger one evoke the connection between speakers and listeners.
    23. Dhanishta: Dhanishta is represented by a drum. This bold and confident nakshatra relates to music and dance, as well as to the larger rhythms of life. The shape of this symbol reflects the rhomboid pattern of the stars of this asterism. It is divided into eight triangles, representing the Eight Vasus (demigods) who preside over Dhanishta.
    24. Shatabisha: Shatabisha, "the Hundred Healers", is typically denoted by an empty circle. Emanating from the circle are four lightning-bolts, signifying the subtle electrical force present in all things. There are also smaller circles portraying electrons circumnavigating an atomic nucleus. This symbol also resembles a turtle, the carrier of the world, relating to the transpersonal nature of this often eccentric, reclusive, scientific, and mystical nakshatra.
    25. Purvabhadrapada: This nakshatra is traditionally represented by a man with two faces, symbolizing the moment of death, when one exists both in this world and the next. It is also often denoted by a sword, representing severance. This symbol combines these two motifs.
    26. Uttarabhadrapada: Uttarabhadrapada relates to another aspect of death, in which consciousness sinks deep into the abyss. This nakshatra is associated with the deep unconscious and the life force residing within. Its deity is Ahir Budhanya, "the Serpent of the Depths", depicted here as a serpentine line ascending a vertical axis.
    27. Revati: Revati means "Wealthy" or "To Transcend". As the final nakshatra, it synthesizes and absorbs the mysteries of the previous 26. This knowledge is portrayed here by an all seeing eye. This symbol also contains two fish, representing the sign of Pisces and the soul's journey after death.
